Knitting and Weaving on a Small, Intimate Riverboat

May 31 - June 11, 2026

We begin our adventure in Old Quebec City which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. It is the most intact fortified town north of Mexico full of 400 year old colonial architecture and the birthplace of French North America. Here we immerse ourselves in its rich history and search its many yarn stores.

Next, it's on to Old Montreal by train. The city has a definite Parisian flair with cobblestone streets and stunning architecture. It has a vibrant art scene with many museums, galleries and did we mention, yarn stores?

Next, we travel by train south to Kingston where we board a traditional riverboat to follow the route of the first French explorers through 1,870 islands, mansions and castles, intricate river channels and mysterious coves will with folklore. Aboard the intimate Canadian Empress, whose exterior emulates the classic steamboat of the Victorian era, we'll meander through the extraordinary scenery of Upper Canada and the Thousand Islands. Knitting and weaving workshops onbaord will add a rich fiber experience while we learn about the colorful history of this area.
