Wool was Wales' most important industry from the Middle Ages to the mid-19th century.  This is brought to life at the National Wool Museum.  A myriad of historic woolen mills are still in operation scattered throughout the scenic countryside.  Countless weavers, knitters, spinners, dyers, felters and other fiber artist still draw on their traditional roots to ply their crafts and teach workshops.  The influence of Welsh quilts is now recognized as being of world-wide significance and can be explored at the Welsh Quilt Center.  We'll delve into it all with a variety of hands-on workshops and exclusive textile visits while journeying through the magic of Wales.
